Hello, everybody. Sorry it's taken so long to offer a brief debrief of our June meeting. But, I've been rather swamped.

Our June meeting was great. There were 1/2 dozen of us, with a vibrant discussion of issues surrounding non-profits, as well as for-profit social enterprises.

I want to share a wonderful serendipity that happened, and is an example of the power of social networking and groups like this Meetup. As some of you may know, I'm in the process of repositioning my career, and trying to learn everything I can about the fields of social network analysis and network weaving.

Well, it just so happened that 2 of the folks at our Meetup are consultants -- whose work includes social network analysis!!! They suggested a bunch of reading (I've gone to the University bookstore and have a stack of books -- great stuff), and recommended I join the International Network for Social Network Analysis (done). I'm looking forward to getting to know them and exploring co-opportunities together.

My only disappointment at the moment is that I'm pretty sure I'm not going to be able to attend the July meeting. My wife and I are going camping with our best friends on Mt. Rainier on Sunday through Tuesday. I'm pretty sure we won't be getting back in time to attend the meeting. Guess that means you'll need to go so that July's serendipity can happen to you!
